D'Piazza Mall
D'Piazza Mall, located in Bayan Baru, Penang, is a shopping mall developed by
X-Scan Penang Sdn Bhd. It is situated between Jalan Mahsuri to the north and
Persiaran Mahsuri to the west. Its neighboring establishments include Mayang
Mall to the east and Hotel Seri Malaysia to the south. Additionally, the
D'Piazza Condominium is located within the same area.
The mall received its certificate of occupancy (O.C.) in March 2009. Since then,
most of the outlets facing the main roads have been occupied, giving the mall an
active and vibrant exterior. However, the interior presents a different picture,
as a significant number of units still remain vacant as of February 2013. This
situation has raised questions about the mall's readiness for occupancy, as it
appears relatively empty. It becomes evident that securing a major anchor tenant
is crucial to attract more shoppers and enhance the mall's viability.
Getting There
To reach D'Piazza Mall, you can take Rapid Penang buses 302, 303, 304, 305, 307,
308, 309, and 401E, which pass along the stretch of Jalan Mahsuri in front of
the mall.
