The Penang Maternity Hospital, or
Hospital Bersalin Pulau Pinang, is one of the units within the Penang
Hospital complex. It occupies a plot of land off Residency Road, next to the
St George's Girls' School. Also in the vicinity are two other schools,
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Puan Habsah and Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan
Residensi.
The Maternity Hospital moved here in 1955 from its original building, which
was known as the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, along Macalister Road.
The building there today houses the Museum @ Macalister.
