The Penang Branch Campus
first began operation on 15 July 1994 on temporary premises at Transfer
Road. On 28 June 1999, the permanent campus that is nestled amidst the lush
and scenic greenery in the prime greenbelt of Tanjong Bungah was officially
opened by the then Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah bin Haji
Ahmad Badawi. This impressive campus is approximately a 20-minute drive from
Georgetown, Penang’s capital city.
The Penang Branch Campus is deemed to have the best landscaping among the
institutions of higher learning in Penang, having won the Penang State
Landscaping Contest for two consecutive years.

Students who come to the
Penang Branch Campus will not only enjoy studying in a conducive environment
but also experience the enchantment of the island of Penang, one of the
major tourist destinations in the country.
The Penang Branch recently completed the building of 3 modern blocks of
academic buildings comprising of a 3 story purpose built Library, a twin
Lecture Theatre and a 4 story Faculty block. Currently the blocks are
waiting for CCC certification.
Penang has a rich and lively
heritage which offers plenty for the visitor to explore and experience. Most
places can be accessed within a half hour drive from the Penang Branch
Campus. Modern amenities are located in close vicinity to the Penang Branch
Campus. The nearest ones are located less than 10 minutes away by car.
There is a wide range of
accommodation available in the Tanjung Bungah area where the College is
located. Dwellings range from large semi-detached houses to apartments and
low cost flats. They are readily available and students have ample choices
in selecting a place which suits their needs. Most of the houses can be
found within walking distance or just a short 5- minute drive from the
College.

It is served by Rapid Penang bus no 104 with short walking distance
to college in 5 minutes or less.
